I have seen installers of instrument air systems that use copper tubing straighten the tubing by anchoring one end in a vise and then attaching the other end of the tubing to a metal bar. They then stretch the tubing by pulling on it.
This makes the tubing perfectly straight and is not sufficient stretching to damage the tubing.
This technique also works on wire that comes in a coil.
