Anyone ever have a weak lifter on a 350 chevy engine that only taps when you first start it in the morning??

A have a 87 chevy 350 tbi that was rebuilt about a year and a half ago.There is no warranty left on the engine.The rockers only seem to make a tapping sound when i first start it in the morning and then eventually quites up after a couple of seconds.I must have a weak lifter because i cannot adjust the rockers to remove the noise.How long can i run with a weak lifter that bleeds off over night?Any big deal?Engine runs great and makes no noise after getting warm.Opinions anyone??Running a thinner or thicker oil doesnt seem to change it.I've already tried that.Lucas oil doesnt help either.
the problem is the lifter is losing its prime (oil draining over nite) generally caused by a dirty lifter you can clean it with seafoam put it in oil and run for about 20 minuts and drain all oil change filter and refill oil and see if that helps sometimes it does sometimes it doesnt.. only other thing you can do is replace it and you may aswell replace them all but it will run just fine like that for a long long time i wouldnt wory but when you do replace them replace the cam and pushrods with the lifters and buy a cam and lifter set and some 5.7 pushrods.. but i have one that has tapped for about 15 years on a 1978 gmc with 350 still runs fine.
