How do I get a GIF image to continue to animate during a Thread.Sleep() in Visual Basic.Net?
I'm trying to display an animated GIF image (pbOne) for one second and then display a second image (pbTwo) after one second has elapsed. When the code is executed, the animated GIF does not animate during the "threading.thread.sleep(1000)". How can I get the animated GIF file to continue animation during execution?
Here is the code that I'm currently using:
pbOne.Visible = True
Me.Update()
Threading.Thread.Sleep(1000)
pbOne.Visible = False
pbTwo.Visible = True
Thanks in advance for your help!
It doesn't animate because that thread is sleeping. You need to put the animation into a separate thread that will continue to run while the other one is sleeping
