Driving question (left turn)?
When I'm trying to turn left out of my neighborhood the traffic is generally heavy from my right. To be courteous to the people waiting behind me I will sometimes go ahead and turn left into the turn/center lane. I then wait until traffic allows and then merge. Is this legal?
That's pretty much what that lane is for. You can make left turns from or into the lane, you're just not supposed to drive in it for long periods of time.
